Happy New Year! Well, as always, we manned the volunteer booth at the Japanese Cultural Center of Hawaii's (JCCH) Ohana Day, but a few twists this year. Because of the wet, windy and rainy weekend, Ohana Day was restricted to the JCCH building only. That meant all of the usual activities that are held across the street at Moili'ili Field had to be moved (food and games) or canceled (bounce rides, mochi pounding). This also meant the volunteer booth had to be moved as well, making it a more cramped smaller tent. Nevertheless, we managed and were able to sign in all the volunteers which included students from various schools across the island.
