The annual Ohana Day Festival seems to be our way to kick of the new year of community service! The event, which takes place at the Japanese Cultural Center of Hawaii (JCCH) and Molili'ili Field across the street drew hundreds of people for food, games, bouncy rides, and of course, Japanese cultural events. One difference this year was that we were spread around in responsibilities instead of grouped together in the game and craft booth. While some worked there, others were in the gallery and store, while some also ended up in the volunteer booth. Still, it was a fun event, and we will probably be at it again 365 days from now!
