Over 250 students and staff members from Hiroshima Kokutaiji made their annual visit to Moanalua today, even with looming tropical storm Ana approaching. The students were treated to a day filled with conversation time, activities, lunch, and dancing, and in turn, the Hiroshima students also gave Moanalua students a taste of Japanese culture. Even with the obvious language differences, students from both schools had no problem communicating. Thank you to all Moanalua staff and students involved, but especially to event coordinator Sensei Cindy Wong who had everything running smoothly the entire day.
