The annual Student Leadership Conference (SLC) was a great way to kick off the new school year for student government leaders! This year's conference was held at various sites such as Kalani High School, St. Louis School, and the Japanese Cultural Center. The sleepover rooms were at newly renovated Hale Lehua at the University of Hawaii. This year's theme was "The Elements" with each group taking on a different element such as "Neon," and relating it to a leadership quality. Leaders also learned new games, ice breakers/cheers, and a host of other skills needed to run their student government programs. It was a fun event thanks to all the facilitators, many of whom were graduates, and especially to Ms. Tiffany Frias, our new State coordinator.
