Yes, at first it seemed a bit sketchy, going to a homeless camp in the evening, in Kaka'ako, high school students, mostly girls....a recipe for something bad to happen!! And then IT HAPPENED! Something wonderfully GOOD! This "camp" was actually a transition center for homeless families looking to transition into permanent housing. The "residents" were friendly (Sorry, can't show any), we got a cooking lesson in using a Dutch oven, learned to make popcorn in a theater popcorn maker and yes, watch Frozen II. But the best part was actually being able to interact with the residents!
