It's the start of a new year, and that means Ohana Day at the Japanese Cultural Center of Hawaii! For many years, this has become a traditional project. Past officers have done almost every job from manning the game tent, supervising the bounce rides, taking surveys, upkeeping the bookstore, and preparing KC Waffle dogs. For the last three years, however, we seem to have found a home in the volunteer booth, registering ALL of the volunteers for both shifts. One great thing about working this booth is that the coordinator, Charlene Yamamoto, is a Moanalua alum! It just doesn't seem like a new year until we work at Ohana Day! So, a belated Happy New Year to all, and hope you had a chance to attend this year's Ohana Day at the JCCH!
