Our first official off-campus service project of the school year came a little late this year since the Okinawan Festival was canceled in early September. Our task was to clean up after the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. This involved cleaning the race grounds of trash, clearing tents of merchandise and equipment, and hauling tables and chairs away. At the very beginning, it even involved looking for a lost child. The clean-up involved many other groups as well, so manpower was not and issue, and we even ended about an hour early!
